It has been very near a month since I've posted but I do have very good reasons. First of was the finishing of school when I had finals and was studying most of the week. My second reason was that I went somewhere very special for Christmas. I'll give you a hint. I went here:
Yup that's right! I went to Disneyland for Christmas! The above picture is from the Toontown Train Station on Christmas Day. The stroller parking was insane! Way to many little children and their crazy parents. I hope everyone had a very very Happy Christmas and managed to stay warm.
As a surprise yesterday it snowed here at my house. I was not excited. My non-excitement didn't need to last very long for when I awoke this morning most of it was melted. Now I must start packing up to go back to school so that I can have everything done and enjoy my last few days at home. Everyone have a great rest of winter vacation and don't forget to have fun!

Never Knew I Needed
This is my new favorite song and I thought I would share it with you.
I hope you enjoy the song and that it inspires you to go out and see the new Disney movie The Princess and the Frog.

Characters Unite
As many of you know I am an avid watcher of the USA network, what with all of their NCIS reruns and the great original series that they have brought us. I was watching the other day and came across this advertisement.
I like how it showcases all different people. They all have something to be proud of, something that they call their own. It makes you think about what you are. What kind of character are you? If you go to the website charactersunite.com and take the pledge to "stand against prejudice, intolerance, and hate, and promote greater acceptance and understanding in everyday life." They also have a really good part of their site that has things you can do to take action. I hope everyone considers what the message is and thinks about it.

December 7th
Do you all know what today is? Yes it is December 7th. Do you know what happened today in history? If you guessed Pearl Harbor you are correct. I hope everyone took a few moments of their day to remember all of the brave people who were killed that day. Always remember.

This movie looks really good but then again I'm a push over for a good love story.

Bright Star
So I never got around to telling you that I finally saw Bright Star two weeks ago. It was a beautiful movie but o so sad. It reminded me a little of Becoming Jane. I wish I could find a picture of my favorite dress but I can't. It was a red or brown jumper dress with vertical stripes and I think it was gorgeous. I loved all of the costumes just simple because of their simplicity or their extravagance. They were all perfect!

Anne of Green Gables (the sequel)
This is one of my absolute favorite movies. It just puts me in a good mood, at least by the end of the movie. At the moment I feel that many of the things Anne goes through in this movie are in the same variety as I'm going through at this point in my life. I also wish life could be that simple. If only..... Well anywho watching this movie has made me want her outfits especially her hats! I want hats like that with hat pins included. I love the lines of the turn of the century fashion. I really like this blouse and skirt that Anne wears at the beginning of the movie.

I also really like Gilbert's outfit. Ah the tam hats that our grandfathers wore. If only guys dressed like this still. I feel really bad for Anne at the beggining of this movie when she has to find out that her best friend is engaged from someone other then her best friend.
This movie has also put me in the mood to make a hankie. They are always bringing one out at any moment of sadness or of joy. I think I might try my hands at making one and then embroidering it. This would be a good thing to do in my free time since it wouldn't take up much room. Well I'm off to finish my feel good movie. Lets pray that it ends well (as always) and that Anne and Gilbert are together.

Maid Marian
So over at AmandaBeth Online she's having a Maid Marion's Wardrobe: A Medieval Fashion Event. I planned on participating for the entire weekend but it didn't really work out. I'm going to post my 2 or 3 outfits that I had picked out for the weekend tomorrow. But in the mean time enjoy these videos of some of my favorite Robin Hood and Maid Marian videos.
The Comedy Version of Robin Hood
I love how in the different Robin Hood's we get a different variant of the story. Such as in this one it is the Sheriff of Nottingham himself that wants Marian. It also varies on where and or who Marian actually is.
"Love" with BBC Robin Hood
Well I hope you enjoy these videos and look forward to my outfits tomorrow.

Bird
So you know that movie Failure to Launch? When Zooey Deshanel, the girl that plays Kit, goes insane over the mockingbird, do you know that part? Well I now know how she feels, sort of. The other night and a lot of the day there was a woodpecker or something similar outside my window hammering on the building. It woke me up at 3am and so forced me to sleep on the couch in the living room the rest of the night (you couldn't hear it in there). AHH!!!! Well this was on top of a few nights of not sleeping so it made me really mad. Last night though it didn't come back so I got a good 7ish hours of solid sleep. It was amazing. I hope none of you ever have to deal with this and I really hope the stupid bird doesn't come back or I might go crazy. So for your viewing pleasure Zooey Deshanel going crazy over the mocking bird.

Sick

Why is it that once school starts everyone gets sick? I know that it really just has to do with the weather turning cold and everyone closing their windows and gathering together and sharing germs but still. I'm determined not to get sick but I feel it coming on and I don't want it. I have to much going on with school to be sick. I have lots of reading to do, a french paper to finish, a french test to study for, and a web site to design! I can't be sick! I've been doing the usual things to avoid getting sick: getting enough sleep, drinking lots of water, washing my hands, and taking vitamins. So I'm hoping with all this prevention it won't happen.
I have a friend from high school that's coming to visit me this afternoon and I haven't seen him in awhile so I'm really excited. Except for the fact that we don't have any food in our apartment and I told him that I would cook dinner. We're definitely going to have to drag him to the grocery store with us. Well I hope everyone has a great day and stays healthy!

TGIF

It's FRIDAY!!! And boy what a week it's been. I'm all moved in to my apartment, I've started classes, and I'm still looking for a job. I have a ton of reading that will probably take me all weekend but at the moment I am forgetting it all and watching New Amsterdam on Hulu. I love Hulu except it's gotten me hooked on quite a few canceled shows, to bad this is one of them (thanks Fox!). Well I'm off to watch another episode maybe read a little bit of Motor Mouth and then to bed only to wake up in the morning and do it all over again.

Classes
Today was the first day of classes and I have had all of the classes that I will. I can't believe that I've started my sophomore year of classes! It's going to be an amazing experience and I'm keeping my hopes up on everything (I'm trying to stay in a good mood at the moment). I'm taking Mth 213 (which is the last class in the teacher's math sequence),Fr 201, Comm 325D (Intercultural Communications), Geog 105 (Intro to Physical Geography), and an online Fundamentals of Web Design. It's going to be a busy term. I'm really hoping it goes well.

Birthday!
Classes start tomorrow. I'm not sure how I feel about this but at least it will be a change of pace. Tomorrow is also my brothers birthday. He will be turning 16 which is a little weird but it also means I'll be going to go home for his birthday dinner tomorrow after I'm done with classes. It should be fun since we're all going to Red Robin (his favorite) and then probably going back to my parents house for cake and ice cream. I then will have to get a ride home, which neither of my parents like to give even though their the ones that invited me home in the first place.
It was rather amusing this morning I was getting ready to go to work and my brother comes into my room with what looked to be a dvd in his hand and says "I was going through stuff in my room and I found this. I bought it like 3 months ago and it was suppose to be for your birthday but I guess I forgot o well happy birthday." In all seriousness this is what he said. It ended up being a game for the wii. It was Raving Rabids the only wii game you can play with your butt (if you have a wii fit). I just thought this was a rather amusing tale I hope you enjoy it. Ttfn

Last weekend
This is the last weekend that I'll be employed. It's kind of sad because now I won't have any more money coming into my lovely little bank account. I am excited for it though because now I'll be able to have some free time! Actually scratch that I really won't since classes start on Monday and I'm taking 18 credits (which at my school is the highest amount you can take without getting it approved). I'm also still looking for another job that will only be a few hours a week (15 at most) just so I have some sort of income, that I can spend on the necessities like movies, books, and shoes, forget the food. Well some of use have to get up on our Saturdays so ttfn

VHS
I think it's rather amusing but the tv that I have at school doesn't have a dvd player so at the moment if I want to watch a dvd I have to watch it on my computer. This tv does however have a built in VHS player. I have brought quite a few VHS's back to school with me after going home for my dentist appointment. I got some weird looks about them especially since most of them are little kid movies that just make you feel good. I hope everyone remembers how bulky VHS's are to carry around, I had an entire bag from REI just to carry them (and my book) from home to my apartment. I hope me and the friends have a great time watching them.

Out There
Out There from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame
Listen to the words of this song. It makes me feel so sad that I dont' appreciate every day that I have and that people are really this cruel to other human beings.
*as a side note at 2:49 if you look in the bottom right hand corner you can see Belle from Disney's Beauty and the Beast

Apartment
I'm officially moved into my apartment! It's really big compared to what I was expecting. I also really like the one roommate that I hadn't met before which makes me glad. The only bad thing is that since it's new student week and I'm not a new student it's been a really boring week and my roommate thinks the same thing and went back home for a few days. So, now I'm stuck in the apartment by myself until I go home tomorrow for a dentist appointment (yay me). Here is a few pics of the not quite decorated apartment and of my room. I'll hopefully post the fully decorated pics at some point next week.

My room I have yet to really organize anything

Weekend
It's been a busy last couple of days. On Friday I was looking for a job all day and haven't had any luck yet. I've filled out some applications and am hopeful but I must continue looking. Saturday and Sunday I had to work which was kind of funny because I actually got use to not going to work for 4 days. Today I'm going to the beach with my mom. I'm really excited. I'm going to get some clothes for school and other stuff for school. At the moment it's raining where I live so I'm hoping that it won't be raining at the beach. That would be rather amusing but that would be usual.

Packing
And so the madness starts!!! I now officially have 7 packed boxes ready to move into my apartment next week. Just so you know these boxes include kitchen stuff, desk stuff, and bedding stuff. This means that I still have to pack clothes and do laundry to make sure everything that I need to take is clean. I think I'm going to do this next Wednesday since I'm working Saturday I'll have to have it mostly packed by Friday night. Ah!! This could be a long week since I aside from packing I also have two doctors appointments and have made arrangements to hang out with 2 different people before next weekend. I hope I don't get way to stressed.

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
I would like to introduce you to one of my favorite things: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog!! It is a web show created by Joss Whedon the creator of Firefly, Buffy, Angel, and most recently Dollhouse. This is one creative man. This show was apparently the product of the writer's strike back in the fall of 2007 (how could we forget about it). The show is divided into three acts but by the magnificents of hulu they present it in one full episode and I now present it to you!

Summer
Summer has drawing to a close. My job has turned to only weekends. My birthday has come and gone. The weather is starting to turn into fall. School supplies are bought. College stuff is starting to be packed in their boxes. Friends are leaving for school. I generally love the fall and this year is no different! It might sound kind of nerdy but I'm so excited to go back to school! I can't wait to move in to my apartment and to meet my new roommate and get everything organized. I'm living with 2 of my friends and a girl that was assigned to our apartment. It should be pretty exciting.

Cooking for Mr. Latte
Cooking for Mr. Latte: A food Lover's Courtship, with Recipes by Amanda Hesser
I just finished this book last night and I really enjoyed it. It was about Amanda's relationship from start to marriage with Mr. Latte and along the way she includes recipes that were used in each chapter or mentioned in the chapter. I really liked how she included the recipes at the end of each chapter but it didn't take over the whole book.

My Fair Lady
Last night I was lucky enough to have tickets to my local theaters production of My Fair Lady. It was actually pretty good but then again you can't completely mess it up. The musical itself is kind of fool proof as long as you have actors and actresses who can kind of sing and act. I had two major problems with the production last night. The first was the actress who played Eliza Doolittle. It wasn't that she couldn't sing because she had a beautiful voice. I think I finally came to the conclusion that she just didn't fit the role. Another was that in the first act where she has her cockney accent my mom kept leaning over and asking me what she was saying. My second problem was the costumes. I love costuming, this is something you have to understand. I've also done my fair share of costuming musicals and these just didn't work with the play. In the program it said that the musical was set in 1910 and let me say not even half of the costumes would have worked in that time period. I'll give them a slight break since I'm a little obbsessed with time periods and most people don't have a clue. This still doesn't exscuse their lack of consistance. Now that I've gotten my complaints out I really did enjoy it over all. The majority of the acting and singing was well done and the guy that played Proffesor Henry Higgins was hilarious.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch
I love Sabrina and I like it even more that she's on from 8 to 9 weekday mornings before I go to work. I have now almost completely caught up on all of the episodes that I hadn't seen before. It's the perfect arrangement, except when my brother decides he wants to watch something else. lol. Whatever, everyone have a nice day. I'm off to work.

Robin Hood

Be still me beating heart! Robin Hood has taken over my life the last week or so. I've been waiting to watch Robin Hood for the last month or so since I realized that my local library had it. When I finally got it last week I was so excited and immediately went home and started to watch it. Only to be disappointed when I start watching the second episode and learned that the dvd was scratched bad enough that the episode wouldn't play. I was distraught!!! I then remembered that a girl I work with said that she owned it. I then quickly emailed her and asked her to bring it to work the next day. I have only three episodes left at this point and I really want them to last awhile but I know once I start I won't be able to stop. So, I'm not going to start watching them until Saturday at some point or Sunday, which is my next day off.

Even though I've said that I love Robin which I do make no mistake about that but the villains in this series are so amazingly evil! Richard Armitage (North and South) plays Guy of Gisborne who has taken over Robin's land of Locksley and wants to marry Maid Marian. Then there is of course the infamous Sheriff of Nottingham who I must say was perfectly cast.

I've been watching this trailer and it looks amazing. The US release date is set for September 18 and I really hope it's playing at my local theater. Enjoy!!

Wuthering Heights
I have done it!! I finally started and finished the classic novel Wuthering Heights and what's more I liked it! I wanted to kill the two main characters the entire book but I liked everyone else and I loved the ending. Its a good book you just have to be sure to read through the entire thing.

Dishes
So in cleaning part of the garage my mom gave me the set of 4 dishes that were my grandma's. I now get to take these with me to my first apartment/dorm/kitchen (whatever you want to call it). I think that they are perfect!

Above:They look so pretty

Above:This is more the true color, which is a cream

Above:A close up of the detail on the dishes, only the bowls don't have it.

Long Day
It's been almost a week and the sad thing is I've had the last few days off from work. That's probably actually why I haven't posted anything. I've been helping my mom clean out our bonus room. It's rather messy. I've also been attempting to clean out my room of stuff that I don't need or that I don't use anymore. It's been a busy and stressful last few days but I have found a lot of interesting things while cleaning. I have found my Harry Potter school uniform and wand to match. I've also found money!!
Today has been a long day for a few reasons. First reason I went to the airport with my mom to pick my aunt up from a flight. It was suppose to get in at 10:20, well it didn't get in until 2:10. So I didn't get to bed until about 4am. Second reason I woke up at 8am. I couldn't have woken up that early if I wanted to. Third reason I spent the afternoon cleaning out our garage which was really hot. I am so ready for bed but before I do I have a little video for you. I heard this song on the radio and really enjoyed it. I hope you do too.

Cookies
Today was an unexpected day. I got up, not quite dreading the day, to go to work at 8:30. I left my house at 10:30 in order to get there by 11. I got to work and after half an hour I was informed that they didn't need me and that I could go home. This was a major surprise since the earliest I've ever been able to go home was 5pm. So I came home but on my way I stopped by the grocery store and bought funfetti cake mix and cream cheese frosting. Then when I got home I put in 1776 and started baking cookies!!! I made about 3 dozen cookies and they turned out beautifully! I plan on taking most of them to my friends house with me tomorrow. After I finished the cookies I sat on the couch and read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and I am now almost done and plan on finishing it tonight. I hope you all like the picture of my beautiful cookies. Ttfn.

Life
It has been a busy last few weeks with working and trying to have a life. I have finished my re-read of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It was almost as good the second time but definitely not as suspenseful just because I knew how it was going to end. Yesterday also brought an end to an era. I bought Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows in paperback. I now own all of the books in hardback and paperback. Well I can still count on the movies, even if they haven't been that great. I'm planning on going to the midnight release next week with my friend. We are going to be dressing up, as what we don't know yet. I'm also thinking of making a few other things depending on how things go in the next week. I found a really cool recipe for Edible Dark Marks and Nosebleed Nougats. Maybe I'll make some of those and take them to the premiere with me. Anyways, I'm going to breakfast with my mom and my aunt this morning before I go to work. It should be fun. Well ttfn.

Busy
So I have been out of school for almost 2 weeks. It seems really weird but I have kind of gotten use to it. I have also been working since I got out of school which hasn't helped on the weirdness. But as an upside to the working I have finished 3 books: Three to get Deadly, Four to Score, and On Night With You. I'm also almost done with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in anticipation for the new movie which comes out next month.

It's starting to got here where I live and it's not going to be fun, especially since I work outside in the sun with children. I can guarantee you it will be a long summer. I have Saturday and Sunday off this week so I'm hoping to go do something fun or maybe I'll just lay on the couch and watch movies/tv all day. This is sounding like a plan. Well I hope you all have a sunshiny day! Ttfn!

Happy Father's Day!
Today is Father's Day and I didn't even get to spend most of it with my dad. I had to work today and I get to work Monday thru Friday too. I hope that all the Fathers out there had a great day. I got moved to rides at work which has greatly relieved some stress. I hope that things continue to go well. I'm pretty excited I get Saturday and Sunday off and on Sunday I get to go see Rent! which I have really really good seats for. I'm also over half way done with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Which means I'll totally be done in time for the movie release in July.

Bad News
I thought that I would be looking forward to summer but not any more. I found out yesterday that I am scheduled to work this coming Wednesday through Sunday. The last few days have been filled with bad news. I learned I get to work most of the week and that I don't get any scholarship money for next school year. The good news is that I do get to go to the mall tomorrow with my mom which means I might be able to buy some new clothes (not that I have room in my closet for them). I'm hoping to go to Anthropology and Urban Outfitters. Well I must get up in the morning. Ttfn.

Moved Out
I am officially moved out of my dorm room and I have been since almost 6 hours ago. I am now dreading trying to fit everything back into my room which at the moment looks like a complete disaster. I don't know whether or not to move furniture or get rid of furniture or what. I think I will unpack everything and then try and decide if I still need more space (which I probably will, lol). I think I've written enough for tonight. I might be back tomorrow with pictures of my room just to show you what I really mean by my mess. Ttfn.

Moving Out
It's a sad day. I'm almost fully moved out of my dorm room. I have everything but 1 days worth of clothes, my hair stuff, and my computer packed up. My roommate moved her TV out already so there's a limit on the things that I can do in my room. I still need to vacuum but that is really about it. It's hard to believe that I'm actually done with my freshman year of college. It doesn't seem like I've been here that long, it also doens't seem possible to have accumulated that much stuff in my dorm room. I hope everyone has a great rest of the week/weekend. Ttfn.

Tie Dye
My hands are a multitude of colors. I went tie dying with my hall and I'm hoping my shirt turns out ok. I have to wait 24 hours to rinse it out, or so they told us. It was a great way of relieving stress since finals are next week. The good thing is that I only have 2 finals now. I found out today that I don't have to take my french final because I did well enough on the STAMP test!! It's pretty awesome it's one less thing I have to worry about. The only thing that I'm really stressed out about this point is moving out and signing up for a check out time which is kind of difficult because I have to finish packing and then figure out when my mom can come get me. I hope everything goes well. Ttfn

Toy Story 3
This is the coolest thing. I'm so excited for this movie. My friend sent me the trailer yesterday and I couldn't help but share it with you. I hope that you enjoy it greatly.

Early
I get to up to Vancouver tomorrow morning but I'm not looking forward to getting up about 6am to do that. I have to be at my friends house by 7:15 which means I have to start walking there by 7 which means I have to be ready to go by 6:45am. That is insanely early. I don't even get up that early for work. I should probably go to bed early tonight, even though its the first friday night that I don't have to work the next day I must get up earlier then usual. I think I'll watch a movie and then aim to go to bed about 10pm. That sounds like a plan. Oo now my minds racing of which movie I'm going to watch. Should be exciting. I hope everyone has a nice sunny day and a nice weekend. Ttfn.
Tuesday, May 26, 2009
It might only be the beginning of the summer but I'm already thinking about the fall. I've already registered for my classes (which seems kind of weird) and I've started making a list of all the things that I'm going to need for my apartment next year. It's going to be a good year. I am determined that it will be a good year. I am going to be more focused and volunteer more and get a job and be productive. Yes, this is a lot of expectations but it's always nice to have goals.
Sunny
The weather is officially beautiful! There is no rain in the coming forecast and school is almost out. What are we to do? I want to spend my time outside enjoying the weather and frolicking in the flowers but instead I'm stuck inside doing homework/studying or at work. Why is real life so boring? I want an exciting adventure that I can make money on. I want money to grow on trees and things not to cost so much. In the end life isn't fair and we have to come down from the clouds and live in reality.

Well that's my triste of the moment. I can't wait for school to be over so I'll have more time just to myself. I hope everyone is having a nice sunny day. Ttfn

3 Day weekend!
It is Memorial Day weekend and I am drawing closer and closer to the end of my first year in college. I only have two weeks left and then finals. This week all of my classes except my science lab will be canceled because it is Academic Excellence Day and instead of going to class we get to go listen to presentations put on by our fellow students. A lot of the presentations are senior thesis'. I am also taking the STAMP test for my french class on Wednesday so that should be great amounts of fun. I also need to start on my power point project that I am giving in a week. I have Monday off of work which makes me really excited because my friend is coming over on Sunday night and we are going to watch movies and eat popcorn and ice cream and all that yummy stuff. It should be a lot of fun. I hope everyone has a nice sunny weekend. Ttfn.

You can smell it
I can smell the summer and you want to know what it smells like? It smells of sunscreen on playful little children.

One for the Money
I finished One for the Money last night. The ending was really good, just like I figured it would be. I now really want to read the next one but I probably won't be able to get to a bookstore or store of any kind that would have books until Friday at the earliest. This is one of the disadvantages of not having a car. If I had a car I could go right now to the nearest bookstore and get the next book but alas I do not have a car. It is on my list of things that I need to save money for and at the moment it is getting pretty close but it will probably take me all summer to work up most of the money but o well so goes life.
So I really feel like making something at the moment but I don't know what and I really don't have time to make anything. Hopefully I'll have time this summer between my actual job and then odd things that I pick up doing. If anyone has any ideas on how to make money (that are legal) please let me know. Thanks! Ttfn. See you all later.

Remake!

So I'm just going about my business when I come across an article online that says 20th Century Fox plans on doing a remake of Romancing the Stone. I was a little taken aback but then I started to think about it. It wouldn't be that bad as long as they made it set now and not in the 80's like the original and as long as they didn't make any really bad casting decisions. I will hold my final judgment until I actually see it when it comes out (which really hasn't been decided yet).
Note: I'm about to finish reading One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. So far it's been pretty good. I'll have a better update in a day or two hopefully.

Palace Circle
Palace Circle by Rebecca Dean was a book that I finished a week or two ago. The premise of the book was that a southern belle marries a British Viscount and what her life is like. I picked this book up for two reasons. One I really liked the cover and two the summary on the back really pulled me in. This is a very good combination.
"Delia Chandler, an eighteen-year-old Southern girl, marries Viscount Ivor Conisborough just before World War II, becoming part of the Windsor court. It’s every girl’s dream come true. But Delia is jolted from her pleasant life when she realizes, after the birth of her two daughters, that Ivor chose her only to bear an heir to his estate. Shortly thereafter, she begins an affair with her husband’s handsome, titled, and frequently scandalous best friend.
When Conisborough is appointed as an adviser to King Fuad of Egypt, Delia exchanges one palace circle for another, far different one. While she sees Egypt as a place of exile, her two daughters regard Egypt as their home. Only when war comes to Cairo—and Delia finally reveals the secret she has kept for so long—can she begin to heal the divisions separating her from those she loves."
This is the summary that is on the back of the book I purchased. Now with this summary I expected the story to start at the end of WW1 or right after but the entire story starts well before WW1. I didn't have a problem with this it was just a little bit of a surprise since the back of the book had said WW2. I really liked this book despite this error. I enjoyed the characters and how they interacted. There was also some plot twists that I didn't expect which is always a pleasant surprise. I hope that you have a chance to read this book.

Books
I have read 2 books in the last few weeks and I really want to tell you about them but I haven't had time. Hopefully this next week I will be a little less busy or if nothing else I will make time to review them. I have finished reading Palace Circle and I reread The Myth of You and Me. They were both really good but I will tell you more about that later at the moment I must get of to work. Yes, that's right I have joined the work force. I'll try to get at least one of the reviews to you later today. Have a lovely Sunday.

Bad Thing
Well yesterday was Monday as many of you were well aware. Monday's generally are not the best day of the week but yesterday just might have been one of the best Mondays that I have had in a long while. First off it was a sunny spring day with a temperature of about 80F and I was done with class at 1pm. The sun just makes everything better and it would have been a good day but my day got even better from there. I went with my friend to the town that's right next to our little college town because we learned that they had a used bookstore that we had never been to. It was amazing!!! I bought How to Marry a Marquis by Julia Quinn, which is one of my favorites. My friend also went crazy because I found her a British children's edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. My good Monday didn't even stop there. We then went and saw 17 Again with my Simon (aka Zac Efron). It was a really good movie. The only bad part of that experience was that we went to a 5:10 showing and there were these 10 or 11 year olds in there and whenever there was one of those sexual jokes that we got and they didn't they would shhush us really loud. It was actually kind of funny now that I think about it. Well everyone have a nice sunny (at least for me) Tuesday!

Anastasia
We all remember our childhood differently but the most vivid things that I remember are the movies that I watched. I always went to the library and rented Faerie Tale Theater episodes and watched them with my grandma. Another of my favorite movies was Anastasia. It was an animated Fox movie with the voice talents of Meg Ryan and John Cusack. I love all of the songs. Even though it is very historically inaccurate I still love it to this day. And what to my surprise when I was looking on hulu yesterday I found it! So for your viewing pleasure I have put it on my blog. I hope that you enjoy it.

Here Again!!
Well spring break was 2 weeks ago and I didn't get much of a break seeing as I was sick for the first half and then I had to work the second half. I had one full day off where I did nothing, which was rather nice. Since I've been back in school now for a week and a half I figured that I should start back up on my blog. I have missed writing about my reading, movie watching, and day to day life over the last month.
Last week I watched for the first time Pearl Harbor and I really liked it. The funny thing about it was that I watched it with my friend. We had borrowed the movie from her dad but the catch was the it was on VHS but not just 1 but 2 VHS's. This was not a problem since her TV has a built in VHS player. I had not seen it before but she had, so the entire length of the movie I was making predictions about what was going to happen. It was rather amusing since I kept say things like "If this was real life this is what would happen but since this is Hollywood this is what's going to happen." I was right most of the time on my predictions. After we watched Pearl Harbor we need a happy movie. I picked Persuassion. She'd never seen it before and at the beggining kept asking if it was going to get any better. I told her to wait till the end. The end makes the whole movie worth while. You have to go through all the tension and longing to get to it though.
Well, my next goal is to watch Little Dorrit since it is on PBS's Masterpiece Theater at the moment and so they have all the previous episodes on their website. I was going to make use of this. So, until next time. Bye.

Neglectful
I'm sorry. I've been neglecting my blog. It's been a really long quarter and its almost over. Thank goodness. I hate how much studying I have to do and I still don't get really good grades! I should find a more productive way to study but it hasn't happened yet so until that day its the old standard of reading and rereading my notes and on occasion making flashcards. I was kind of excited this morning though because I got a 90% on my French test. I was so excited I called my mom and told her. It was probably because I got my friend to help quiz me over the past tense verbs that we learned this chapter and there were a ton of them so I'm really excited that I did well. Can you tell I'm excited? Hehe. By the way if anyone has study tips I would love to hear them. I having a lot of problems with my Psychology class. Its not that I don't get it. I think it's just that I don't study as much as I should. I don't know but I'm determined to do extremely well on my last 2 tests that I'm going to be studying really hard for the next few weeks. Well, I think I've ranted enought about school. I'll talk to you all later.

Can you believe?
I personally can't believe that it has been almost 2 weeks since my last post. All I can say is that my life has been pretty dull but busy with school. I however am going to talk about an amazing movie today its called The Pirate Movie. You might have heard of this or think you have heard of this and let me tell you it is one hilarious movie. It was released in 1982 do I need to say more. This movie has alot of what an 80's movie generally has but this one has it better because it's about pirates. Think of ever cliche that involves pirates and they probably have it in this movie. It's one of those movies that don't require a lot of brain work so are good for when you're sick or have had a bad day or just need a good laugh. The base of the plot for this movie is The Pirates of Penzance. It even includes I am the Pirate King, Modern Major General, and the police man song, along with a few other random 80's melodies. Now enjoy the trailer.

So long....
We would have ever thought that one week could take so long to get through and it's not even Friday yet! This has been a really long week. Probably because I'm having to get back in the swing of things for school and a whole set of new classes and such. I don't think it's ever going to end. It has been raining pretty much all week which hasn't made it go any faster. I actually dug my rain jacket out yesterday and wore it to class because my sweatshirt had already gotten soaked. I am very much looking forward to the weekend. If nothing else I am guaranteed sleep. I haven't been sleeping well the last few nights. It's probably because of stress or something.

The Beginning
It's happened the end of break and the beginning of classes!! It hasn't started off that well, for starters my first class was a math class so what do you expect. Also, it was rather cold in my dorm when I got back to it last night. Enough about me I want to tell you about the coolest show. It's called Joan of Arcadia. It's amazing!! We watched it at my youth groups New Year's Eve party. The premise of the show is that God talks to Joan through people. The first time this happens God is a guy at her school. In the credits they have him as Cute Boy God which I find rather amusing. Anywho, that's the main plot line. It's very witty in the conversations and the plot lines make sense in the whole fact that God is instigating her to do these things. Does that make any sense? I love it! The only bad thing is it's not TV any more and there was only 2 seasons. O well though it's still amazing! You should go check it out.
Joan: Let's see a miracle.
Cute Boy God: How about that?
Joan: It's a tree.
Cute Boy God: Let's see you make one.
